Safety Loop, Driveshaft, UMI Perf. 1964-72 A-Body, 5" Inner Diameter. This one-piece NHRA legal drive shaft safety loop is a bolt-in or weld-in applications. These UMI Drive shaft loops are contoured for the A-Body floor pan and bolts or welds into the reinforcement rib located behind the transmission. This is a must for tracks that require a safety loop for cars running faster than 13.99 in the quarter mile. The entire loop is constructed of 0.250″ thick mild steel, CNC machined mounting points for a superb fit and fully MIG welded for outstanding strength. Fits 1964–1972 Buick Skylark, 1964–1972 Chevrolet Chevelle, 1964–1972 Chevrolet El Camino, 1970–1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 1964–1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1969–1972 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1964–1972 Pontiac GTO, 1964–1972 Pontiac LeMans, plus one other classic GM models.
